Role DescriptionThe EHS Manager will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and supporting environment, health, and safety programs and practices within the organization. Tasks will include conducting risk assessments, implementing occupational health procedures, overseeing compliance with health and safety regulations, and leading accident investigations. The role also involves designing and delivering safety training programs, as well as preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders to ensure the highest levels of workplace safety.Experience and SkillsExperience in the construction industry as a health and safety professionalTechnical membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH)Assist tender and prequalification teams by advising on safety concerns and practical solutions where requiredAttend project start up meetings and supply chain meetings when requestedDeliver appropriate health and safety training to site staffStay informed on legislative changes and industry best practice to ensure competent advice is providedRecognise the limits of competence and seek further support where required.Strong organisational and time management skillsEffective interpersonal and engagement skillsUnderstanding of performance management processesQualifications and TrainingRequiredNEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalentNVQ Level 4 or EQF Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalentInternal Auditor qualificationTraining in incident investigationLocal PD/CDM and PSDP/PSCS trainingAwareness of lifting operations including BS7121 and IS361Temporary works awareness including understanding of the TWC roleTraining in temporary works supervisionAdditional professional development within occupational health, environment or behavioral safety.
