The Arklow Bay Hotel is a well established hotel set in the picturesque seaside town of Arklow Co. Wicklow. The Arklow Bay Hotel has 91 bedrooms many with stunning Bay views and Conference & Banqueting facilities for up to 450 guests. The Hotel also offers excellent dining options in The Pottery Restaurant and the Ferrybank Lounge. The Bay Health & Leisure Club comprises a 18 metre pool with Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, gym and aerobic studio and the Bay Beauty Rooms which offers a range of body & beauty treatments.
We are now recruiting for friendly and trustworthy Accommodation Assistants who are team players for variable hours to join our team at the Arklow Bay Hotel.
The accommodation Assistants must be flexiable, be in a position to work weekends, weekdays, early morning and evening shifts as the level of business demands.
Reporting to the Accommodation Manager the Accommodation Assistant will execute housekeeping duties for the hotel including preparing rooms for guests and ensuring our general areas are maintained to the highest standard.
Responsibilites:
* To ensure the cleanliness of hotel bedrooms and public areas at all times.
* Ensuring the cleaning and preparing of guest bedrooms is carried out as per the hotel procedure.
* Have excellent attention to detail and high standards.
* Highlight any items or areas that need maintenance.
* Handling lost property according to the hotel procedure.
* Ensuring our guest needs are met and expectations exceeded.
* Maintaining your work area and storerooms in a neat and organised manner.
* Ensuring guestroom security and overall hotel security.
Requirements:
* Customer focus.
* Attention to detail.
* Ambition to develop.
* Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
* Candidates must be available to work Mornings, Days, Evenings, Weekdays/Weekends.
* Candidates must have a good level of spoken english.
* Have strong communication skills
* Be legally eligible to work in Ireland
* Have the ability to handle busy situations and manage your workload effectively
