A global Medical Device Manufacturer is currently looking for an experienced Associate Equipment Engineering Manager to support both new and current manufacturing equipment in regard to design, installation, troubleshooting, performance, and validation activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Generate documentation for the detailed specification, design, development, and testing of new equipment & automated systems
2. Develop detailed knowledge & understanding in all aspects of automation systems, including PLC, HMI, vision, robotics, PC software, and databases.
3. Develop a detailed understanding of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and use of the same to drive optimum equipment utilisation/operation.
4. Identify equipment & automated system upgrades as part of continuous improvement programs, improving equipment/systems in terms of performance, qualify & availability.
5. Provide technical support and make informed decisions on hardware and architecture selection
6. Analyse, understand & fault-find as necessary on complex automation equipment
7. Develop, test, and install code changes to existing equipment under change control
8. Maintain comprehensive documentation of code to medical device standards
9. Actively participate in cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.

Education & Experience:

10. Degree in Automation/Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Software or related Engineering discipline with at least 5 years relevant experience
11. Experience working with automation systems & automated production equipment essential
12. Excellent working knowledge of PLCs: Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, GE Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Omron, Toshiba, etc.
13. Experience in HMI or SCADA programming and configuration
14. Hands-on working experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs is a distinct advantage.
15. Hands-on working experience with Robotics & Vision system applications is an advantage
16. Excellent analytical and Technical problem-solving skills essential
17. Strong organisational skills
18. Strong Leadership & Influencing skills
19. Works well within a team environment and on own initiative
20. Ability to document own work clearly and precisely
21. Excellent communication skills
