Automation Tester / SWET Software Engineer in Test
4-5 years of experience. 12 month contract. 350-400 per day. Dublin – 1 week a month in office. Need to hold stamp 1G spousal/dependent visa or Stamp 4 or EU passport (graduate visas not accepted).
The Expertise We’re Looking For
Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
4+ years in software and quality engineering.
Solid experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium and Cucumber, supporting software solutions in Java, Springboot, Python, SQL (Postgres), REST APIs, Swagger and AWS serverless technologies.
REST Assured for API automation.
Playwright or Cypress for UI automation.
Solid experience working with databases and large data volumes, being able to query.
Ability to contribute to QA automation strategy and oversee QA best practices.
Experience building and deploying applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins.
Experience using source control and pull requests in code repository tools such as GitHub.
Experience with requirement analysis, defect tracking, coordinating with team members in different locations, test reporting and signoff.
Experience implementing test data management strategies and test environment approaches.
Experience working in an agile scrum development environment.
Financial services experience preferred, but not essential.
The Skills You Bring
Expert knowledge in test automation frameworks and designing and delivering quality assurance related code and solutions.
Ability to drive and participate in defining test related technical and coding standards and guidelines for the team, and implement a strong internal quality process, including mentoring engineers in writing tests.
Deep knowledge of the SDLC process and how different test types from unit to behavioural to component to E2E are used.
Central to the curation of test suites to ensure a minimal comprehensive set, eliminating duplication and recognizing gaps.
Comfortable working in an Agile software delivery environment, with exposure to CI/CD tools.
Passionate about engineering excellence with a strong understanding of test data management.
