We are seeking an experienced Residential Service Manager / Person in Charge (PIC) to lead the operational delivery of a HIQA-registered residential service in Galway, supporting people with disabilities and Acquired Brain Injury.
This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for the day-to-day management, quality, safety and compliance of a designated centre, ensuring services are delivered in line with legislation, best practice and person-centred principles.
The Role
Overall management of a designated residential service as Person in Charge
Ensure full compliance with HIQA regulations and safeguarding legislation
Lead, support and develop a multidisciplinary staff team
Manage operational planning, risk, quality and service improvement
Liaise with families, stakeholders, regulators and senior management
Oversee resources including staffing, finance, buildings and equipment
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, quality and inclusion
Requirements
An appropriate third level qualification or equivalent (NFQ8) in Health and Social Care.
Health and Social Care Managers Qualification.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in management or supervisory role in a HIQA-registered services
Strong people management and leadership skills
Full driving licence (essential)
Experience in Acquired Brain Injury, disability or Mental Health services is an advantage
Excellent organisational, communication and decision-making skills
Flexibility, including participation in an on‑call rota
