Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor Opportunity

The role of the Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor is to direct and coordinate all technical and maintenance activities in support of production. This includes ensuring a safe, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly work environment.

Duties include:
* Leading Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Identify equipment issues and reliability through data analysis and implement effective solutions.
* Applying Preventative and Corrective Maintenance: Review and optimize existing preventative maintenance activities to ensure resource deployment is effective and efficient.
* Developing and Tracking KPIs: Measure equipment and maintenance performance using metrics such as MTBF, MTTR, OEEs, schedule attainment, labor utilization, and work order backlog.
* Championing Asset Condition Management: Use new technologies to maximize uptime and identify signs of early failure.
* Supervising Employees: Allocate work, coordinate training, and handle employee issues up to the counseling stage of the disciplinary process.
* Mitigating Recurring Issues: Lead initiatives to address recurring problems.
* Recruitment and Selection: Hire technicians for assigned departments.
* Performance Management: Prepare, assess, and conduct 121s and appraisals, including end-year reviews and contract staff appraisals.
* Providing a Safe Work Environment: Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety legislation and adherence to safety procedures and requirements.
* Partnering with Quality Department: Ensure compliance with quality standards.
* Fostering a Culture of Right First Time: Ensure product quality by promoting a culture of right first time.

Requirements
* Minimum 8+ Years of Experience: In an engineering, technical, or maintenance leadership role, preferably in the life science, medical device, and/or pharmaceutical industry.
* Trades Qualified: An advantage.
* Engineering Qualification: In mechanical or electrical engineering or a recognized equivalent; an advantage.
* Reliability Engineering Experience: An advantage.
