Business Development Executive
CREGG are recruiting a driven and motivated Business Development Executive to join our client, a market leader in their sector.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
The Business Development Executive is a revenue-driving, new-business hunter responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing opportunities across the company's portfolio.
This role owns the end-to-end sales cycle, with a primary focus on outbound prospecting, managing existing accounts and consistently exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Aggressively hunt for new business through cold outreach, targeted account prospecting, referrals, events, and market research
Own a personal sales quota and take full accountability for new revenue generation
Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities with a clear focus on net-new clients
Lead the full sales cycle from first contact through negotiation and close
Close sizable, high-margin B2B corporate training contracts
Penetrate target accounts and establish relationships with C-suite and senior decision-makers
Execute structured territory and account plans to maximise pipeline and win rates
Upsell and cross-sell into existing accounts while prioritising new logo growth
Accurately forecast revenue and maintain disciplined CRM hygiene
Partner with delivery and marketing teams to support deal execution and optimise sales effectiveness
Represent the company at events and conferences to generate qualified leads and accelerate deal flow
Qualifications and Skills
3+ years of B2B sales experience with proven success in new business acquisition
Clear track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets
Demonstrated strength in outbound prospecting, cold calling, and opening new accounts
Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to uncover needs and position solutions
Proven closing ability in complex, high-value sales cycles
Experience selling to C-suite, PMOs, or Learning & Development leaders preferred
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
Strong CRM discipline and pipeline management skills
Self-starter mentality with urgency, resilience, and competitive drive
Highly motivated, persistent, and hungry to win deals and grow revenue
