About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to join our team. As the operational anchor of our manufacturing and installation business, you will oversee everything from production lines and logistics to team leadership and quality compliance.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Production & Workshop Mastery:
o Collaborate with the Workshop Foreman and Job Scheduler to keep projects on track and on time.
o Lead and coordinate assembly teams to meet daily and weekly deadlines.
o Oversee machining operations and ensure materials flow seamlessly through the factory.
o Keep logistics moving smoothly — from goods in/out to stock control and waste management.
* Logistics & Installation Oversight:
o Ensure timely dispatch and top-tier installation across projects.
o Manage delivery vehicles, tools, and factory equipment like a well-oiled machine.
* Quality, Safety & Compliance:
o Uphold gold-standard quality controls across all stages — from workshop to client site.
o Drive excellence in GMP, ISO, and EHS standards.
o Tackle non-conformance issues, incident reports, and customer feedback with confidence.
o Inspect and sign off subcontractor work and installations.
* Leadership & Team Culture:
o Inspire and lead teams across production, warehouse, and installation.
o Oversee subcontractor fitters and direct employees — from recruitment to performance.
o Cultivate a can-do culture with continuous improvement at its heart.
* Process Improvement & ERP Implementation:
o Champion Lean and Six Sigma principles to boost efficiency.
o Take the reins on ERP implementation to digitise and streamline operations.
* Strategy, Finance & Growth:
o Partner with leadership to align operational strategy with company goals.
o Contribute to budgets, track KPIs, and spot cost-saving wins.
o Represent operations in senior meetings and be a voice for progress.
You'll Need
* 5+ years in an Operations Management role (10+ preferred) within manufacturing.
* Proven leadership skills with a passion for people and performance.
* Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and ERP systems.
* A strategic thinker who thrives on solving problems and improving processes.
* Skilled in logistics, inventory, and production planning.
* Excellent communicator with top-tier IT and reporting skills.
Bonus Points For
* Green Belt (or above) in Six Sigma.
* Working knowledge of ISO14001 and H&S standards.
* Change management success in a scaling environment.
