Johnston Shopfitters has a requirement for a Warehouse Operative to work within and assist our specialised workshop, warehouse and site project team on a variety of projects in line with the company standards and client requirements. An experienced Operative who has a strong work ethic, flexible approach, and a genuine desire to always provide excellent customer care.Main Duties & Responsibilities (this is not an exhaustive list)Loading and unloading trucks and vansCoordinating with members of the warehouse teamPicking stock accurately, efficiently and checking prior to dispatch to clients.Maintaining accurate records of Goods inwards and outwards to ensure accurate stock levels are recorded.Work as part of a team and working on own initiativeA range of duties to support the operational efficiency and general housekeeping and hygiene standards of the warehouse and siteHealth and Safety of yourself and others around youEnsuring that you keep good relationships with team membersAny other ad hoc dutiesCo-ordinate effectively with the Warehouse and Production teamActively promote and participate in improvement groups, to improve quality, reduce costs, eliminate waste and improve working methods, conditions and communicationsMaintain and promote a high level of good housekeeping practicesHave a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to theseAny other duties outlined by the Warehouse ManagerRequirements for the roleSafe Pass is an advantageForklift licence is an advantage.Valid manual handling certificate desirable but not essentialFull clean drivers' licence is an advantage or reliable commute to workMust be eligible to work in the Republic of IrelandExperience, Skills & KnowledgeMinimum 2 years' experience in a similar role is essentialPrevious forklift operation experience will be an assetA Shop fitting Trade experience or qualification is an advantageAttention to detail is an essential requirement of this roleAbility to quickly learn technical specifications of products and installationsMust be flexible as due to the dynamic nature of the role there may be a requirement for overtime on occasionsFluency in English both written and spoken is essentialAbility to work within tight deadlines in a busy environmentExcellent customer service skillsAbility to work on your own initiative and still be part of a teamGood time keeping and reliableMust be a team playerBenefitsBike to work schemeCompany eventsCompany pensionEmployee assistance programOn-site parkingJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €14.50-€15.00 per hourWork Location: In person
