Who We Are
Peamount Healthcare was founded in **** as a Tuberculosis (TB) Sanatorium by the Women's National Health Association.
With the decline in the incidence of TB in later years, more accommodation became available for other services.
In ****, at the request of the Department of Health, a residential unit for people with an intellectual disability was opened.

PURPOSE OF THE POST
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the social work service to both patients and residents in Adult Disabilities in Peamount.
He/she will report to the Principal Social Worker
POINT ON SCALE
New appointees coming from the private sector will be placed on the minimum point of the scale.
Clinical and Therapy Grades: Incremental credit may be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular ******) in the Civil Service, local authorities, public service, health service and other public service bodies and statutory agencies.
