Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (On-call duties as needed)
Compensation: $115,000–$134,000 annually (exempt), based on licensure, education, and experience
AMFM Healthcare is seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Program Director to lead our Mission Prep Program in Waterford, Virginia. Mission Prep is our residential adolescent program serving clients ages 12–17, designed to provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health treatment in a structured and supportive environment.
Mission Prep is an adolescent specific treatment program under the AMFM Healthcare family. Mission Prep aims to provide support and sustainable change for adolescents and families who are challenged by primary mental health struggles. About the Role
The Clinical Program Director is responsible for overseeing the clinical care and treatment of all clients within their program. This includes developing and implementing effective, engaging, and therapeutically sound programming aligned with payer and regulatory requirements. The role provides both formal and informal clinical supervision to program staff and serves as a key liaison between clinical services and departments such as Admissions, Business Development, Utilization Review, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership and ensure program compliance with all regulatory, ethical, and professional standards.
* Supervise and support Program Managers and clinical staff, promoting high-quality care and effective team collaboration.
* Design and oversee evidence-based treatment programming tailored to adolescents with mental health needs.
* Manage program performance, quality improvement, and adherence to licensing/accreditation standards.
* Work collaboratively with other departments to support admissions, hiring, training, and conflict resolution.
* Report program status, client progress, and staffing updates to the Executive Director on a regular basis.
* Cultivate a therapeutic, person-centered, and culturally responsive treatment environment.
* Participate in staff evaluations, disciplinary actions, and ensure the delivery of ongoing training and supervision.
* Utilize data-driven insights and feedback to continuously enhance client care and program effectiveness.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
* Active clinical licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, PsyD, or equivalent)
* Experience in mental health treatment settings
* Demonstrated managerial or leadership experience
Qualifications:
* Master’s-level licensed clinician with a strong background in treating co-occurring disorders
* Familiarity with insurance billing practices, medical necessity criteria, and utilization review
* Knowledge of DHCS licensing, TJC accreditation, and clinical documentation compliance
* At least 2 years of relevant leadership experience
* Experience in clinical supervision and team leadership
* Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR), GSuite, and digital documentation tools
* Strong communication, de-escalation, and conflict resolution skills
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
