Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation, funded by the HSE under Section 38. We support people with intellectual disabilities through residential care, day services, independent living, job advocacy, and vocational training.
Purpose of the Post
The Management Accountant will, on a Temporary Wholetime Contract, plan, prepare and analyse monthly management accounts to support the financial sustainability and operational effectiveness of Stewarts Care. The post holder will support budget holders through financial analysis, reporting and advisory services, ensuring robust financial control, value for money and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Membership of a recognised accountancy body such as ACCA, CPA, ACA, CIMA, ACMA or equivalent
Minimum three years full‑time experience in a management accounting role
Experience of financial costing systems, budgeting and financial management information systems
Experience in project planning, business case development and delivering projects on time and within budget
Working knowledge of variance analysis and reconciliations
Detailed knowledge of VAT and experience in dealing with the Tax authorities
Knowledge of HSE Financial Regulations
Advanced IT skills including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts and financial projections
Manage the annual budget process
Manage and report on cash flow and continually look to optimise cash flow
Provide financial analysis and advisory support to managers and budget holders
Support cost containment and value for money initiatives
Ensure compliance with HSE financial regulations and reporting requirements
Support automation, process standardisation and continuous improvement within finance

Salary: In line with the Department of Health consolidated pay scales, the current salary scale is Grade VII (Clerical); € 60,613 - € 78,795 per annum (incl. LSI).
