The client:
Our client is a very successful, long-established SME in the manufacturing sector.
The group has circa 80 staff working across manufacturing, sales and administration.
With the pending retirement the company's Financial Controller, they are looking to add an experienced Qualified Accountant/ Financial Controller to their team. The successful candidate will play an important part in supporting business operations. The role will have interaction with management at all levels and with overall responsibility for financial reporting and budgeting.
The position will be based in Dublin West, with the opportunity to pursue a hybrid working model after an introductory phase.

The Role:
1. Production of monthly group financial reporting
2. Production and preparation of monthly management accounts and budgets
3. Co-ordinate and collate board reports from each trading entity for review with the Directors
4. Provide useful insight into monthly financial reporting so that the management team are informed of variances in financial reporting to budgets
5. Assist in implementation of controls, policies and systems improvement initiatives
6. Assist with group budgeting process
7. Assist with year-end audit and tax work
8. Aid in accounting and reporting issues
9. Ad hoc projects and systems work
The Candidate:
10. Qualified Accountant
11. Experience working in the manufacturing sector
12. Ability to work on own initiative
13. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels
14. Proven ability to adapt to new systems.
15. Proven ability to review processes with a view to improving them.
16. Excellent understanding of current accounting standards, practice and guidance.
