Our client is a German industrial engineering company specializing in real-time data acquisition and control systems. With over four decades of experience, the company develops mission-critical hardware and firmware solutions used in industrial environments worldwide.
This role is focused on FPGA firmware development for high-performance real-time industrial systems.
Responsibilities:
— Design and develop FPGA firmware using VHDL;
— Work with Intel/Altera FPGA tools (Quartus Prime);
— Perform FPGA bring-up and commissioning on prototype and production hardware;
— Optimize timing constraints, latency, and resource utilization;
— Develop and maintain simulation and validation environments;
— Debug and validate FPGA designs at both logic and system level;
— Collaborate closely with hardware and embedded software teams;
— Document FPGA architecture and technical decisions;
Requirements:
— 3+ years of FPGA development experience;
— Strong knowledge of VHDL;
— Experience with Intel/Altera FPGA ecosystem and Quartus;
— Solid understanding of digital design and timing optimization;
— Experience with FPGA bring-up and hardware debugging;
— Familiarity with interfaces such as SPI, I²C, UART, PCIe, Ethernet;
— Experience with Git and structured workflows;
— Fluent English;
Would be a plus:
— Basic C/C++ knowledge for FPGA/software interfacing;
— Experience with industrial systems;
— Experience with automated testing flows;
