We are building this team from the ground up and this role will help define what great pre‑sales looks like at Bright, not just fill a seat in an existing structure.Our customers are accountants and payroll professionals. They’re experts in their field and they know immediately whether the person demonstrating software understands their world. This role exists to make sure every prospect conversation is led by someone who does.The RoleThe Pre Sales Specialist sits within our Sales department, dedicated to bringing Bright’s product suite to life for customers.You will be involved across the full sales cycle – from discovery through to proposal and close – and your domain knowledge will be central to how we win new business. You will bring solid experience in an accountancy or payroll SaaS environment, and a genuine understanding of the challenges practices and bureaus face day‑to‑day.If you’ve worked in practice or a bureau yourself, even better — but what matters most is that you can speak to our customers with credibility and meet them as a peer rather than a vendor. This is a consultative, client‑facing role for someone who combines that industry knowledge with genuine product expertise and thrives on helping customers find the right solution.What Success Looks LikeProspects consistently leave demos feeling understood, their specific workflows and challenges reflected in how Bright’s products are presentedWin rates improve as pre‑sales becomes a credible, consistent part of the sales cycleThe Sales team have a go‑to resource they want in the room for complex or high‑value opportunitiesPre‑sales materials, demo environments, and playbooks are continuously improved and embedded across the teamWhat You’ll DoPartner with the Sales team to qualify opportunities and lead technical consultative discovery sessions with prospective clients, understanding their workflows, challenges and requirementsLead compelling, tailored product knowledge sessions with prospective and existing customers, helping them understand how Bright’s suite addresses the specific challenges of their practice or bureauOwn your product knowledge, maintaining deep, current expertise across the full Bright suite, including integrations, workflows, and competitive positioningTranslate customer workflow and experience insight into clear, evidenced feedback for Product — articulating not just what customers ask for, but why, and what impact it has on their practice or bureauMaintain up‑to‑date knowledge of competitor products and market trends to position Bright’s solutions effectivelySupport a smooth handover to Implementation and Customer Success post‑sale, ensuring a seamless experience for new clientsContribute to the continuous improvement of pre‑sales materials and internal enablement — helping to build the functionWhat We’re Looking ForEssentialSolid experience in an accountancy or payroll SaaS environment, you understand the day‑to‑day realities of practices and bureaus and can speak to customers with genuine credibility.A consultative, solution‑oriented approach with strong listening and discovery skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously in a fast‑paced environmentConfident navigating multiple software products - you pick up new tools quickly and evaluate them criticallyDemonstrable ability to translate complex product and workflow knowledge into compelling, accessible narratives for both technical and non‑technical audiencesA proven track record of building credibility and trust with customers, prospects, and internal stakeholdersA natural curiosity about how software works and how it could work better, you notice friction, ask why, and have strong instincts about what a good product experience looks likeNice to HaveFamiliarity with Bright’s product suite (BrightPay, BrightBooks, BrightAP, or similar)A background in an accountancy practice or a payroll bureau, you’ve sat on the other side of the softwareExposure to AI‑assisted workflows or tools
