Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to drive continual improvement across our operations and ensure compliance with our quality management system.
1. Ensure adherence to supplier monitoring and control procedures.
2. Manage customer specifications, questionnaires, and tender documents effectively.
3. Conduct internal audits (e.g., traceability and fabrication) and oversee corrective actions.
4. Support new product development from a quality perspective.
5. Oversee the calibration of measuring equipment for accuracy and compliance.
6. Deliver training on food safety and hygiene procedures to staff.
7. Lead and coordinate the hygiene team on site.
8. Assist with customer queries and manage complaint resolution efficiently.
9. Support implementation and maintenance of QMS and HACCP systems.
10. Act as deputy for the Technical Manager when required.
11. Carry out additional quality and technical duties as directed by the Technical Manager.
Requirements
* Degree in Food Science or a related discipline.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing or processing environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Solid understanding of BRC Standards and major retailer requirements.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
