The Project Foundry is looking for an Account Manager for a permanent position with one of our clients in Dublin. The Account Manager will be responsible for maintaining existing revenue streams and identifying new opportunities through understanding the technology, competitors, and decision-making landscape. This role includes the entire sales lifecycle and contributes to the company's overall sales strategy, which is essential for driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate leads from potential new clients
Collaborate with clients/prospects to understand their needs and provide Managed Service offerings and advice
Understand the market and identify opportunities
Preserve existing business within assigned accounts
Maximise opportunities for additional business within current accounts
Identify and target suitable new potential accounts
Build strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers
Manage commercial and technical aspects required to close complex deals, working closely with relevant internal teams
Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to develop profitable business and sustainable relationships
Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and support business development
Provide accurate forecast information regarding the pipeline and projected revenue
Conduct regular research on the IT services market, stay informed about industry best practices, trends, market intelligence, and competitor offerings
Key Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
Proven track record in sales and target achievement
Experience generating 200K - 400K revenue per year
Ability and experience managing and growing accounts with annual revenue between 10K and 50K
Knowledge of hardware, and applications such as Office 365 is important
Formal sales training is advantageous
Knowledge of current IT best practices and emerging technologies
Understanding of relevant and new IT services and products
Awareness of business challenges and how IT can address them
