Our client, a renowned structural and civil engineering design consultancy, is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their dynamic and expanding team. You will play a pivotal role in leading project design and management, overseeing a team of project technicians and junior engineers. Your ability to juggle multiple priorities and your commitment to excellence will be crucial. You will work both independently and collaboratively, utilizing your excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
* Take the lead in preparation of all project related design and management within a team of project technicians and junior engineers.
* Liaison with local authority and other engineers.
* Liaison with design teams and building contractors.
* Check and review of all project related drawing and correspondence prior to issue.
* Undertake site inspections and buildings appraisals.
* To ensure ISO9000 quality procedures are being implemented fully on projects.
* Contribution to technical review and CPD activities.
* Mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in educational, commercial, retail, and residential projects, with some of that experience gained within a consulting engineering practice in Ireland or the UK.
* A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Level 8) or higher.
* Preferably Chartered status with IStructE or Engineers Ireland.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor junior staff.
* Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
* Ideal full Irish driving licence.
