My client, a leading international Law firm is seeking a Business Development Manager based in Dublin. The firm advises a global client base across financial and legal services and operates from major financial centres worldwide. The Role:
Reporting to the Regional Head of Business Development, the Business Development Manager will act as a trusted advisor to assigned practice groups. The role combines strategic planning with hands‑on delivery and plays a key part in driving growth, strengthening client relationships and supporting the wider business development function.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning
Partner with practice leaders to develop and deliver growth strategies aligned with practice objectives
Lead annual planning, budgeting and KPI setting for assigned practices
Develop data‑driven BD plans and track performance and ROI
Use CRM, BD and marketing systems to support planning, targeting and reporting
Work with marketing teams on campaigns, content and digital initiatives
Manage directory submissions, sponsorships, events and speaking opportunities
Business Development & Client Management
Lead and support BD activity across assigned practices, targeting new and existing clients
Support BD trips, including objective setting, briefing and CRM follow‑up
Prepare high‑quality pitches, proposals, credentials and RFP responses
Maintain CRM data, pipelines and client intelligence
Monitor market, regulatory and competitor developments to inform opportunity identification
Identify opportunities to grow client relationships, including cross‑sell initiatives
Management & Collaboration
Manage delivery of multi‑stream BD projects and coordinate cross‑functional teams
Build strong relationships with partners and internal stakeholders
Contribute to a collaborative team culture and share knowledge proactively
Support ad‑hoc strategic initiatives that benefit the wider firm
Experience & Skills
Minimum 8 years’ experience in business development and/or marketing within professional services
Law firm experience preferred; qualification in Marketing, Business or related field advantageous
Strong understanding of the Irish legal and commercial landscape
Proven experience managing senior stakeholders
CRM experience (e.g. InterAction) with strong data management skills
Excellent communication, presentation and project management capabilities
Commercially minded, solutions‑driven and able to manage multiple priorities
Strong service orientation with a calm, pragmatic approach under pressure
