Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) professional to join our team. The HSEQ Officer will play a key role in creating a culture of health, safety, environmental quality, and excellence throughout the organization.
Main Responsibilities:
* Identify potential hazards, risks, and environmental impacts in the workplace and recommend appropriate control measures.
* Conduct regular safety inspections, environmental assessments, and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
* Provide training to employees, contractors, and visitors on health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and quality issues, and develop and implement corrective actions.
* Monitor workplace conditions to prevent occupational health issues and promote employee well-being.
* Ensure compliance with local and regional regulations.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address HSEQ concerns.
* Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills as needed.
* Promote a culture of HSEQ excellence throughout the organization.
Requirements:
* A qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental.
* Proven experience as an EHS Officer or in a similar role, preferably in a high-risk industry.
* Strong analytical skills to identify hazards, risks, and improvement opportunities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to train employees and collaborate across departments.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
* A full clean driving license and personal transport are required.
