This full-time, year-round role is ideal for someone withsupervisory experiencein hospitality, retail, tourism, or similar, who is ready to step into a more senior and varied operational leadership position.Whether you're coming from a hotel, restaurant, bar, retail environment—or even running your own business—we welcome your experience and perspective.About The RoleAs Duty Manager, you will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the hotel. This is ahands-on rolesupporting all departments and ensuring consistent delivery of excellent service, guest satisfaction, and operational standards.You'll work closely with the Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Events teams, while also being a friendly face for guests seeking information about the hotel, Bantry, or the broader West Cork area.Full training will be providedto help you excel in this cross-departmental role.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all departments while on duty, ensuring standards and service delivery are consistently metMonitor and adjust staffing levels in response to business needsEnsure meeting rooms and banqueting spaces are prepared and presented to standardProactively engage with guests, offering assistance and local insights to enhance their stayRespond professionally to guest feedback, resolving issues where neededComplete end-of-shift administration, including:Passover reportsIncident loggingFire and security walksQualifications & SkillsEssential: Food & Beverage experience is essential for this rolePrevious experience in a supervisory or management role in hospitality, retail, or tourismPreferred: Experience in a food & beverage supervisory or leadership roleStrong organisational skills and attention to detailFriendly, approachable, and naturally guest-focusedCapable of managing fast-paced situations and slowing down for meaningful guest interactionsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient in standard IT systems and admin processesA team player who can also work independently and take initiativeJoin a Certified Great Place to WorkAt The Maritime Hotel, we are proud to be part of an organisation that values inclusivity, opportunity, and a genuine sense of community.
