Financial Controller – Full Finance Ownership
We’re hiring a hands‑on Financial Controller to lead and own the full finance function within a lean, growing organisation. This role sits on the management team and is fully site‑based.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the finance team
Full ownership of month‑end, reporting, budgeting & forecasting
Manage tax compliance, payroll, AP/AR, cashflow & inventory control
Main contact for auditors and external advisors
Drive improvements across systems, processes and reporting
What You’ll Focus On (First 6–12 Months)
Delivering timely, accurate month‑end close
Strengthening financial controls, especially around inventory
Maintaining payroll and core finance operations
Building strong relationships internally and externally
Providing clear financial insight to support decisions
About You
Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Strong experience in month‑end and management accounts
Exposure to inventory/costing (preferred)
ERP/systems confident
Hands‑on, proactive, commercially minded
Ideal for a Finance Manager ready to step up or an experienced Financial Controller from a lean SME environment.
