Beldare Homes is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Technician to join their forward-thinking, energetic, and dynamic team within the construction industry. This opportunity has potential for the right candidate to expand the role over time. The role will include standard accounting tasks, while also providing an opportunity to get involved in other aspects of the business and day-to-day operations.

Beldare Homes is a development/construction company working on several exciting projects throughout Ireland. The company participates in projects throughout the various life cycle stages from conception right through to completion and handover. We are strategically based on the west coast of Ireland and have an extensive pipeline of work in the commercial, education, healthcare, hospitality, and residential sectors. Tasks will include:
* Managing day to day account queries and contacting suppliers and sub- consultants
* Processing invoices and credit notes on Xero and LiveCosts project software
* Preparing payment runs in line with agreed credit and payment terms
* Bank administration duties; monitoring cashflow, inter-account transfers and reconciling daily banking transactions on Xero etc.
* Reconciling accounts payable and receivable to ensure completeness and accuracy
* Preparing VAT, PAYE and RCT returns
* Working closely with project managers to track project costs and allocations
* Assisting in preparation of financial reports at month end
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Expectations:
* The ideal candidate will have a passion for finance, a solid understanding of accounting principles, a proactive approach to problem-solving and relatable experience, preferably in the construction industry
* The candidate must be self-motivated, methodical, enthusiastic and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* The role is fast-paced and requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organisational skills to manage conflicting deadlines, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
